Good and consistent lighting conditions are essential for proper image acquisition. The P2 panel comes with built-in LEDs for active lighting during the acquisition process. However, in some situations the lighting cannot be completely controlled. Sunlight or very bright light tend to produce varying regions with both intense lighting and deep shadows on peoples' faces that can subsequently reduce the biometric performance.
For each gate analyze the lighting situation:
How do the lighting conditions change in the course of a day? Note that lighting conditions in areas with natural light often vary.
Are there extreme lighting situations, for example, direct and/or cross irradiation of lighting? In this case, measures for correction of the lighting situation might be required, for example, sun shields.
