Setting the P2 Panel's Time

There are several ways to set the P2 panel's time. One way is to use a network time protocol (NTP) server. This chapter describes how to set the time with the NTP server.

Procedure

Set the P2 panel's time via an NTP server.

Prerequisites:

  • You are logged in to the web interface of the P2 panel.

  • You have an NTP server integrated into your network.

Have at hand

  • IP address or hostname of NTP server

    [Important]

    If you use a hostname for the NTP server, you must configure the P2 panel with the address of a DNS server.

  1. Make sure that the NTP server is started and available when booting and operating the P2 panel.

  2. In the web interface, navigate to Network Setup.

  3. Enter the IP address or hostname of the NTP server.

  4. Click Apply and Restart to apply the network settings.

    The P2 panel restarts and connects to the NTP server. If the connection to the NTP server was successful, the P2 panel receives the time from the NTP server.
