The FaceVACS-Entry firmware can detect various forms of presentation attacks, i.e. the presentation of
photos, masks, or other means to disguise a person's true identity. The detection requires use of the active
illumination. The presentation attack detection is performed by the Acquisition Service,
as well as the Acquisition and Verification Service. High levels of ambient light can affect the
performance of the presentation attack detection. Feedback is provided via the HLBS feedback
structure. The feedback parameter PresentationAttackDetected
contains the result of the presentation attack detection.
